Hey there!

Welcome to my page, this website is supposed to be my year-long vow to pictures and words, it's sort of a new years resolution, where I want to improve both my photography and my writing, and this seems like the perfect way to hit two birds with one stone, so yes.

Every day of the year, I have a word prompt(which can be found in the calendar) and I have to take a photo and make a literary piece related to the word. Pretty simple and straightforward stuff, the problem is just doing it every day.

The Rules
What would this be without any rules? Probably me just cheating so, to keep myself in check, I have made some rules for this whole endeavor.

For the prompts:

• Prompts can only be changed up to a day before (calendar must be updated in time for it to count)

For the literary pieces:

• There are no specific guidelines for the piece itself, it can be any length and/or any kind of literary work
• The piece must be made on the same day it's supposed to be posted
• The piece CAN be edited but only within 72 hours after being posted

For the photos:

• Photos must be taken OUTSIDE my dorm and/or living space, to ensure I don't get lazy
• The previous rule can be broken if the photo must be taken from the view of the dorm
• The photo must be taken on the same day it's supposed to be posted

The Name

Since you've stuck around this long, I guess I can tell you what the name means, if you didn't google it already. It's actually a portion of a longer Latin phrase honesta mors turpi vita potior which translates to "an honorable death is better than a dishonorable life"

I chose the name because I want to create something from that death, from the death of mediocrity that is.
